Can I obtain financial aid or other means of assistance to cover the costs?
Students enrolled in Sonoma State University's Extended Education Degree Completion Programs may be eligible for federal financial aid, including Federal Pell Grants and Federal Direct Student Loans, as well as state financial aid programs such as Cal Grants and Middle Class Scholarships.
Financial aid eligibility is determined based on each student's individual circumstances, program eligibility, completion of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or California Dream Act Application (CADAA), as applicable, and meeting applicable financial aid application deadlines.
Students are encouraged to submit their financial aid applications as early as possible to maximize their consideration for available financial aid programs.
Please see the Financial Aid Office website for more information about the different types of aid available.
In addition to any financial aid available through the Financial Aid Office, Extended Education is currently offering a supplemental needs scholarship in the amount of $350/semester to our degree completion students. Enrolled students should contact their concierge for more information on how to apply for the supplemental needs scholarship.
