Sonoma State University Official Bookstore

The bookstore is your one-stop for textbooks, supplies, apparel and merchandise. The bookstore is located on the second floor of the Student Center. Hours: Monday through Friday, 9:00 am - 3:00 pm. Closed weekends, and all campus holidays. Textbooks and merchandise are available through the campus bookstore or online. Items purchased through the web can be shipped or held for pickup at the bookstore. Phone: (707) 664-2329.

Disability Services for Students

Disability Services for Students assures equal access to the University for students with disabilities. The DSS is located in Schulz 1014a. To receive accommodation services students must register with the DSS, complete an intake form and provide appropriate medical verification of the disability in advance of the services requested. Sonoma Film Institute

Throughout the year the Sonoma Film Institute presents a variety of fine films, commercial and underground efforts, classics and recent releases. All screenings take place in Warren Auditorium, Ives Hall. For current and upcoming offerings call (707) 664-2606.

Sonoma State American Language Institute

SSALI is a pre-university program providing instruction in English for people from all over the world. The program welcomes students, professionals, and others interested in mastering American English in order to meet academic, social and job-related needs. Participants range from those who speak little English when they arrive to others who may only need to improve their language skills prior to enrolling in an English-speaking university.

Student Health Services

Students enrolled in courses that either

  • a) give SSU academic credit;
  • b) are part of an SSU Extended Education degree completion, Nursing FNP, Psychology MA, ITDS MA or other Post Bachelor's Degree program may utilize the SSU Student Health Center on a modified fee basis.

SSU Student Health Center medical services are directed toward the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of acute and subacute illnesses and injury and are limited to the regular hours of operation and staffing of the Student Health Center.

All Student Health Center services (including pharmacy pick up) need an appointment. Telemedicine services are available. Call (707) 664-2921 to schedule an appointment or speak to a staff member.

Transportation

Sonoma State University actively encourages the use of alternate transportation for environmental reasons and because campus parking spaces are at a premium. Suggested alternatives are:

  • Bus - Sonoma County Transit provides regular service to and from the University. Route maps available at the Dept. of Public Safety, Verdot Village.
  • Bicycle - Bike racks are available throughout the campus and in the residential community parking lot.

University Library

The University Library, located in the Jean and Charles Schulz Information Center, offers a variety of research services for the SSU community.

Our Web site provides access to online resources, including our Snoopy catalog and a wealth of information about the library, events and lists of new materials. Please call (707) 664-2595 for additional information. Extended Education students enrolled in courses for academic credit have regular library privileges in accordance with library policies and procedures. When presented with other identification, the Extended Education library card may be used to obtain library services. Library cards are available from the Extended Education office.
